Very nice hotel with several pools and services
This is a fairly large hotel complex, offering lot to do, even on a rainy day. The three pools each have a different atmosphere: one lively, one very quiet, and one in between. There were enough sunbeds. The pool closest to my room was around +21°C, other pool was warmer. The gym was bright and quite spacious. The spa (small entrance fee) has separate saunas for men and women, and an inside hot pool for all. The reception staff ensures everything is okay during your stay. Breakfast had plenty of options, with an omelette station open on some days and a doughnut station was brought in one morning. Evening parties are arranged by the main pool, but end at 22:00 to ensure a peaceful night. The room had plenty of storage, enough towels, and soap and shower gel in pump bottles. The pillows and bed were among the comfortable ones I’ve had in Tenerife, even without a mattress topper. WiFi worked very well everywhere, you only needed to enter the password once. I also liked that the room had a proper dining table with chairs, also the balcony furniture were ok (white plastic ones), couple of chairs were with adjustable backs. My room also had a DVD player. Kitchen was quite well equipped, and it was nice surprise that dish washing liquid was also included. Room had its own water heater, and the water pressure was strong. They don't clean the rooms every day, and the cleaning days were told when checking in (once every 3 days or so). This was great, as you could be sure nobody will disturb you for "housekeeping" on any other day. The hotel is a bit far from the main areas, but there’s an hourly bus service to Playa de las Vistas and back during the day. Hotel has few locked gates for exit, so you don’t always have to go through the main gate. There are stairs located between the hotel and Pasarela Shopping Centre, which shortens the walk a lot. In general, I felt really welcome and safe in this hotel.
These are not major issues, but good to know: the hotel's white towels are not allowed at the pool, either bring your own or rent one from the spa reception. It might be a cultural thing, but breakfast doesn’t have many fresh vegetables, some of the vegetables and the sauteed mushrooms seem to come from a can. Some juice dispensers serve cordial juice (with sweetener) instead of fresh juice. The room setup (studio) was a bit unusual, the TV was installed just above the dining table, making it possible to watch from the bed but not very well from the sofa. The hotel is not the newest, but everything works. If you expect golden faucets or expensive decor, you might be disappointed. My room had its own water heater, there’s enough hot water for a bath, but right after filling the tub, the water temperature wasn't as hot (not cold, but not very hot either). The water heater may also make a constant noise unless you swhitch off the power from the room. The room had AC for cooling, not for heating. The temperature was just right for me. About the electric sockets: if you want to charge many devices the same time and don't want to spread them out around the apartment, it might be good idea to bring an extension cord. The hotel is located quite high up, but it’s designed so that all rooms get sunshine on the balcony at some point during the day. The stairs from the city aren’t too bad, like climbing to the 10th floor or so. I am coming back here, but I will try to get a room with slightly better view and without breakfast (I eat very little in the morning).
